Branding and Menu Design

DC restaurant Bar del Monte wanted to create a graphic identity highlighting their playfulness and their deep roots in DC. We worked with them to design a menu, logo, and business cards inspired by antique cookbooks and menus collected from trips to Italy. The resulting menu illustration features a view of the National Cathedral from the restaurant’s side alley, referencing the view of Saint Peter's Basilica from the Knights of Malta keyhole in Rome. It also includes cheeky details like a rat on a tipped-over trash can featuring the street number of the restaurant.
